What will you learn?
The Starter Course is devised into 5 main chapters, namely:

This course is designed for complete newbies. Instructional materials can be provided in English or other languages if desired.
This course is 20 hours long and costs AED 2,700, (USD 735) materials inclusive.

The course modules are broken down into chapters, making it easy for learners to fit their studies into short periods throughout the day.
Course Outline
Greet people and introduce oneself. For example, “Good morning! My name is Sarah. How are you?”
Familiarize oneself with the letters of the Alphabet; Spell names and common words.
Ask and share Contact Details using the question word “What”. For example, “What is your e-mail address? What is your phone number?”
Name countries with the appropriate forms of the Definite Article “the”.
Use the verb ‘to be’ to state one’s nationality and profession; Use the verb ‘to speak’ to state the languages one speaks.
Ask questions using ‘Where’ and apply the Prepositions “at/in” before nouns of different genders and count. For example, “Where is the Eiffel Tower? It’s in France, in Paris.”
Memorize the numbers 1-100; Perform basic calculations; Use the verb “to have” to state one’s age; Learn the days of the week; State what day and date it is today.
Identify different hobbies and speak about one’s likes using the verb ‘to like/love’. For example, “I love cycling on Saturdays.”
Identify Places and workplaces in the city while paying attention to the Definite and Indefinite Articles “a/an/the”.
Describe places using “nearby, far from here” and apply Adjectives “big, small, beautiful”; Write a postcard mentioning nearby and far locations. For example, “There is a museum nearby. It’s big and beautiful!”;
Recall vocabulary related to different means of Transport; Use the verbs “to take, to get on, to get down from” to describe photos of people using different vehicles.
Develop an understanding of Prepositions “at” and “by” in conjunction with the verb “to go”. For example, “I go to the university by car.”
Ask and give directions; Indicate the way using the Imperative form. For example, “Turn right/left, Continue straight ahead, Go up/down, Cross the road”.
Study a document about means of transport used by French people; Discuss using question words “Which/What”.
For example, “What percentage of the French population use the car?”
Learn food items (fruits, vegetables, meats, pastries) and drinks; Identify different food aisles in a supermarket; State where to buy different food items by using the Preposition of Place “at”. For example, “At the bakery/baker’s”.
Convert nouns from Singular to Plural form. Apply the verbs “to eat, to drink, to buy” in conjunction with “How many/much”. For example, “How many bananas do you eat?”
Specify quantities and containers in which food and drink items are sold; Make a grocery list including the quantities; Identify ways to pay. For example, “by cash/card”.
State the time one takes the different meals of the day (breakfast, lunch, dinner). For example, “I have breakfast at 7:00 a.m. I eat a croissant and drink a cup of tea.”
Ask questions about a dish and place an order in a Restaurant; Use the Pronoun “it” to replace nouns. For example, “Do you want some sugar? No, thank you. I have it/that.”
Identify nationalities of different dishes; Watch and understand a video about a Recipe; Describe the recipe of a local dish while applying vocabulary about basic kitchen utensils (fork, spoon, knife) and cooking verbs “to cut, to boil, to pour, to preheat, to mix”.
Describe what one is wearing using names of different Clothing items and Colors. For example, “Today, I am wearing a yellow shirt and a blue skirt.”
Describe the weather and discuss the different clothes people wear in different seasons; Use “when” to describe what accessories and materials one wears in different weather conditions. For example, “When it rains, I wear a raincoat. In July, it’s hot. I wear a cotton shirt.”
Describe clothes using the Demonstrative Articles “This/These” in conjunction with Adjectives “beautiful, small, useful, trendy, striped, dotted, checkered, etc.”; Speak about one’s wardrobe preferences using the verb “to please”.
Ask and give information about sizes and prices of clothing items; Discuss prices (cheap, expensive, sales, percentage); Enact a shopping experience.
Learn vocabulary related to Electronics; State what the objects are used for. For example, “A camera is for clicking pictures.”
Use the structure “come + infinitive” to speak about recently completed actions; Use the structure “going to + infinitive” to speak about actions in the near future. For example, “I have just bought a mobile phone. I’m going to buy a computer tomorrow.”
