The Starter course is a minimum requirement to be qualified for this course.
This course is 20 hours long and costs AED 2,700, (USD 735) materials inclusive.

The course modules are broken down into chapters, making it easy for learners to fit their studies into short periods throughout the day.
Course Outline
Describe daily activities using Reflexive Verbs. For example, “To get up, to brush one’s teeth, to comb one’s hair”.
Recognize and learn vocabulary related to daily activities and housechores. For example, “To do the washing, To hoover, To clean.”
Define one’s routine using Adverbs of Frequency “always, every (day), often, from time to time”.
Learn vocabulary related to outings and night outs.
Study an agenda/schedule and book an appointment over a
phone conversation.
Give instructions for an outing using the Imperative form. For example, “Book the seats, Check the weather forecast, Wait for me at the mall’s entrance”.
- Introduce and ask about one’s Family using Possessive Adjectives “my, your, his/her, our, their”.
- Apply the Simple Past tense to speak about special occasions and events in the past. For example, “She gave birth to a baby boy yesterday”.
- Wish and congratulate relatives and closed ones on special occasions. For example, “What a great news! Congratulations!”
- Study a document about celebrations in France. For example, “Music Day, Christmas and New Year”.
- Describe the physical appearance of one’s friends, colleagues and neighbours. For example, “My best friend, Sophie, is very tall. She has long, black hair and green eyes.”
- Describe and discuss about famous movie characters. For example, “In this movie, he has curly grey hair. He plays an old businessman who leads a stressful life.”
Learn vocabulary about rooms and furniture in a Residential unit; Use the Pronoun “there” to state what one does in each case. For example, “I cook food there. It’s the kitchen.”
Describe what’s in the different rooms using Prepositions of Place. For example, “There is a chair next to the stove in the kitchen. The window is between the door and the stairs.”
Ask and answer questions about a housing unit. For example, “What is the area of the living room? Is it furnished? On which floor is it?”; Apply the Direct Object Pronouns to avoid repetition.
Study a document about Interior Designers and Architects; Discuss about housing preferences.
List housing Rules and Regulations in an apartment. For example, “It is prohibited to smoke in the lift.”
Report problems and malfunctions in an apartment. For example, “The tap in the kitchen is leaking. We need to call a plumber.”
Learn vocabulary about the different types of Holiday Accommodation; State one’s preferences.
Use the Comparative Form “more … than, less … than, as … as” to discuss about different hotels. For example, “This hotel is more expensive than Mariott. But it’s not as beautiful as Sheraton.”
List important items to be packed in different situations. For example, “Don’t forget to pack some anti-mosquito sprays! It rains a lot in the forest.”
Study a document about Travel and Culture; Elaborate on reasons why people travel in different countries.
Use the Past Simple with moving verbs “to go, to come, to arrive, etc.” and the Imperfect tense to write about a trip in the past. For example, “It was in 2002. The weather was cold. I arrived at the hotel late (…)
Relate one’s Emotions at different moments in a trip made in the past. For example, “I felt horrible when I entered the room. The bed felt comfortable and it helped me relax.”
