Requirement
Pre – Intermediate Level 2, is a minimum requirement to be qualified for this course.
Duration & Fees
This course is 20 hours long and costs AED 2,700, (USD 735) materials inclusive.

Course Outline
- Review vocabulary about pollution and acquire new vocabulary about Cleanliness in Town; Discover the Green Bird association and suggest how it can be more successful; React to unpleasant sights in town. For example, “Ugh! That’s so repulsive!”
- React to Learn vocabulary related to Sanctions and Initiatives, Scrutinize posters in town and discuss about suitable sanctions for ruining the town’s image.
- Learn the Reported Speech (Present and Past) in conjunction with introductory verbs; Review all the Past tenses and apply them to recall what one was taught in school about Cleanliness. For example, “When I was young, I used to keep all used wrappers in my desk. The teacher asked me why I wasn’t getting rid of them.”
- Share opinions about Graffiti in town; Review the different forms of the Interrogative sentence; Study a text and ask about ways in which one can embellish the town. For example, “Would the town be more attractive if there were more lights alongside the roads?”; Watch and share thoughts on a video about Lighting the City.
- Discover Street Art in Paris; Gather vocabulary about Urban Art; Use Indefinite Quantities (no, each, some, all) to suggest about what can be done to promote Street Art.
- Define Vandalism; Listen to a document about Vandalization and Street Art; Compare vandalized and decorated towns; Select a local town and imagine how it could be changed or decorated in order to be more appealing.
- Recall vocabulary about Studies (fields, university and exams); Understand expressions related to Studies; Retrace one’s educational path (primary to tertiary).
- Get to know about the Erasmus program; Familiarize oneself with expressions about Concern and Wishes; Talk about changes in habits and daily activities that arise on a scholarship program; Weigh the pros and cons of Studying Abroad to advise and motivate a friend.
- Memorise expressions about Intentions; Share what can be done to upskill and keep oneself updated with General Knowledge; Apply the Present Participle to advise on how to register for a MOOC; Describe one’s experience concerning E-learning.
- Read and understand a text about the Baccalaureate and Philosophy; State what was satisfying and disappointing during one’s educational pathway; Discuss the importance of learning different subjects; Understand familiar expressions about Subjects.
- Learn phrases used to speak about Causes and Consequences; Acquire vocabulary about Technology in Education; Analyze the causes and effects of using Games in Learning.
- Explore data about Wikipedia and assess its reliability by using expressions of Trust and Mistrust; Apply the Compound Relative Pronouns to inform a wannabe-teacher about the BELC program.
- Recall vocabulary about Activities practiced during Free Time (sports and hobbies); State which sports one practices and how often; Explain how a particular sport is played by mentioning the different equipment used; Understand figurative expressions about Free Time.
- Define Relaxation; Use the Double Pronouns to talk about Relaxation. For example, “I’ve recently got a hammock fixed in my backyard. I’ve showed it to you, right?”; Read a text about Coffee and Laziness; Learn new vocabulary about Staying Active; Advise a friend on how to find the balance between staying active and relaxing.
- Learn expressions to Affirm and to Deny; State agreeing and disagreeing points about whether Health depends on Sports; Develop vocabulary about Health and Medicine; Emphasize on the importance of Sports for the youth and to succeed in Education.
- Study documents about Connected T-Shirts and an Application to call onto doctors; Determine the most innovative developments in Medicine and state what they are used for; Assess the pros and cons of seeking medical help online and Self-Diagnosis.
- Watch a video and deduce the importance of Sports in the French culture; List the most famous Sports competitions; Describe an unusual sport event that one has attended or watched. For example, “I saw a 92-year old woman participating in a running competition. It was spell-binding! I don’t think there is an age limit to be sportive.”
- Discover Escape Games through a document; Relate personal experiences about Escape Rooms; Debate about whether Escape Games are helpful to Health; Use the Future Perfect tense to detail an imaginary Escape Room.
- Learn vocabulary about Books and Genres; Categorize different types of writings and writers; Point out things that readers like and dislike about Reading; Summarize a latest read.
- Acquire vocabulary about Authorship; Use phrases about Opposition and Concession to debate about whether it’s easier to write in one’s native language. For example, “On one hand, some writers find it easy to write a whole book in French. On the other hand, they might not be able to find the words to finish a poem.”; Study an infographic about French People and Literature; Identify which types of readership are scaling up and deduce why.
- Gather ideas from a text about a Guide on Photography to then list tips and tricks in order to obtain good photos; Study a document on Art and Cartoon; Generalize about what makes a good Cartoon.
- Learn expressions about Appreciation and Distaste; State and explain one’s preference between the Cinema and Theatre; Use Time Indicators to compare Remakes of famous movies.
- Review vocabulary related to Music; Read through the Biographies of French artists to discover famous French Music festivals; Relate one’s experience to a concert attendance or alike.
- Get to know different artistic activities; Study a text about Henri Rousseau and dig out phrases to describe Artworks; Learn about the Definite Past tense to describe formal, literary and historical writings; Use the Definite Past to write about a famous Painter and his Paintings.
